Content Removal Policy

Introduction

DudesChat ("the Service") is committed to ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all users. To achieve this goal, we have implemented this Content Removal Policy (the "Policy") that outlines the procedures for removing content that violates our Content Guidelines or Terms & Conditions.

Every photo is reviewed by a human moderator before it becomes visible to anyone else, so objectionable material is filtered on the way in — not just after it's reported.

Scope

This Policy applies to all user‑generated content uploaded to DudesChat, including but not limited to:

• Images
• Videos
• Text posts
• Messages
• Comments
• Profiles
• Community tags and bio fields

Report content violations

DudesChat encourages users to report any content that they believe violates our content guidelines. To submit a complaint, please follow these steps:

• In‑app: As a logged‑in user, you can flag any content using the flag symbol on the relevant photo, profile, message, or post.
• Help form: Fill out the online help form, which can be found on the site by clicking the blue (?) or Help button.
• Online: Send a report through our contact form.
• Description: Provide a detailed description of the violating content, including the URL, username, or any other relevant information.
• Reason: Specify the reason why you believe the content violates our content guidelines or terms & conditions.

If you appear in content on DudesChat and did not consent to it, report it through the contact form — you do not need an account, and you do not need to be a member. We act on the timelines below, and if the consent of everyone depicted cannot be evidenced, the content is removed.

Processing and response

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Every report of objectionable content is reviewed and acted on within 24 hours: the offending content is removed and the account that published it is ejected.

• Illegal content — CSAM, terrorism, credible threats of violence: triaged and removed immediately, and reported to the appropriate authorities.
• Non‑consensual intimate imagery: removed under the same 24‑hour rule — comfortably inside the 48 hours the TAKE IT DOWN Act allows.
• Everything else reported under these guidelines: reviewed and resolved within 24 hours, and in every case well within the seven days card scheme rules require.

We may request additional information from the reporting user to facilitate a thorough investigation, but never as a condition of acting on the timelines above.

Reports reach us three ways, all of them staffed: the in‑app report button on any photo, profile, message or post; the contact form; and the published contacts in our Imprint and EU point of contact. Members can also block any other member instantly, from a profile or a conversation, without waiting for us.

Content removal criteria

The following types of content will be removed from DudesChat:

• Content that promotes or glorifies illegal activities, such as child sexual abuse material (CSAM), explicit violence, or criminal activity.
• Hateful or discriminatory content that targets individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
• Copyright infringement — content that violates the intellectual property rights of others.
• Harassment or bullying content that targets individuals with abusive language, threats, or intimidation.
• Sexually explicit content or pornography, anywhere in the app; and nudity outside the gated private surfaces where it's permitted (see Content Guidelines).
• Non‑consensual intimate imagery ("revenge porn") of any kind.
• Impersonation of another person, brand, or organisation.
• Spam, advertising, or commercial solicitation.

Removal procedure

When removing content, we will follow these steps:

• Immediate removal: The offending content will be removed from DudesChat immediately.
• Notification: We will notify the user who uploaded the content and provide a reason for the removal.
• Account suspension: The user's account may be suspended or terminated depending on the severity of the violation. Egregious violations (CSAM, threats of violence, repeat harassment) result in immediate permanent termination.

Exceptions

For reports that turn on taste or interpretation rather than law or consent, we may decide the content stays — for example where it has genuine artistic, educational or research merit, or is intended to promote social awareness, advocacy or public education.

These exceptions never apply to illegal content, child sexual abuse material, non‑consensual intimate imagery, or any content where the consent of the people depicted cannot be evidenced. There is no artistic, educational or advocacy argument that keeps such content on DudesChat: it is removed on the timelines above, without exception.

Appeals

Appeals are for challenging a decision we made. If your content was removed or your account suspended, you may appeal via our contact form within 30 days of the action. Include the reason for your appeal and any supporting context. We will review appeals within 10 business days and respond with a final decision.

Where a removal turned on consent and you dispute our conclusion, the disagreement is referred to an independent third party for resolution, at our expense. The content stays down while that runs.

Copyright (DMCA) takedowns

If you believe that content on DudesChat infringes your copyright, please send a DMCA notice via our contact form containing:

• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
• Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with sufficient information for us to locate it (URL or username).
• Your contact information (name, address, telephone number, email).
• A statement that you have a good‑faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

Card scheme compliance

DudesChat complies with Visa, Mastercard and other card scheme rules covering online payment processing and card‑not‑present transactions, and this Policy is written to meet their content standards. In practice that means:

• Every photo is reviewed by our moderation team before it becomes visible to other members.
• Members are age‑checked, and by uploading any photo you affirm that everyone depicted is an adult and has consented to the upload.
• Illegal content is removed immediately; every other report is resolved within 24 hours — well inside the seven days card scheme rules allow.
• Anyone depicted in content here can report it and have it removed, whether or not they are a member; anyone whose content we remove can appeal.

Review and revision

This Policy will be reviewed and revised as necessary to ensure compliance with changing regulatory requirements (including the EU Digital Services Act, the UK Online Safety Act, and other applicable frameworks) and community expectations. We may also update this Policy to reflect changes in DudesChat's functionality or user behavior.

By using DudesChat, users acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by this Content Removal Policy. Failure to comply with this Policy may result in account suspension or termination.
