Our story

Why two doors.

DudesChat wasn't dreamed up in a pitch deck. It comes out of 24 years of running a gay online community — and one lesson from that: different moments in life need different rooms.

The internet we come from

Before the app stores, communities worked differently. You joined a place, not a product. People knew each other across years, not swipes. Moderators were people you could argue with. Nobody was trying to maximise the minutes you spent scrolling, because nobody was selling your attention.

That's the tradition we come from, and we think it aged better than the alternative.

The first door: DudesNude

DudesNude opened in 2002 and never closed. It's a sex-positive community — nudity, cams, the works — where being open about what you want is the point, not a policy problem. It has outlived every trend that was supposed to kill it, because the people running it were members first.

The company behind it has changed over the years; the team and the community haven't. Today DudesNude is operated by Theme Park Software, and it isn't going anywhere.

The second door: DudesChat

Plenty of Dudes want the community without the explicit side. Some always did; some want both, depending on the day. For years the answer was to squeeze everything into one platform and gate it with settings. We watched that make everyone slightly unhappy.

So DudesChat is its own app. Its own sign-up, its own rules, non-explicit everywhere, and no velvet rope leading next door. It is not a preview of DudesNude and not a funnel into it. If you never touch DudesNude in your life, DudesChat is complete without it.

What the doors share

The team, and what two decades taught it: every member verified and human, no advertising, no data sale, funded by the people who use it. Those aren't features we A/B tested. They're the house rules, and they hold on both sides.

Use one. Use both.

One account does not require the other. Come in whichever door fits — today, or at 2am, or both. The house is the same either way.
